Here are ten tips that will help you have the perfect skin you've always dreamed of - a radiant, unblemished and toned skin:

  • 1.   Your diet has the strongest influence on your skin. Fresh fruit and vegetables are your best allies. Complex carbohydrates, saturated fat, salt, sugar, processed foods and junk food are your worst enemies. Other good produce are: white fish, shellfish, cereals, eggs and brown rice.
  • 2.   Wash and hydrate your skin with a good quality moisturizer twice a day, in the morning and before going to bed. Washing it will get rid of impurities such as dust, grease, sweat and make-up. Hydrating it will keep it young and healthy. This should be done even if you're not wearing any make-up.
  • 3.   Aim at drinking no less than two liters (four pints) of water a day. By water I mean still water, not drinks containing water such as tea, coffee, sodas, tonic water, or even juices. Those will not help you get rid of toxins, and won't hydrate your skin enough.
  • 4.   If you have dry skin, vitamin C will help you. You can get it from citric fruits such as oranges, grapefruit and mandarins.
  • 5.   Vitamin A is a good anti-aging agent. You can find it in: pumpkin, carrots, satsumas, parsley, spinach and watercress.
